Midwives provide full-course care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-partum period including monitoring the health of mother and baby; managing labour and spontaneous normal deliveries; caring for, assessing and monitoring the health of newborns; and providing advice and information regarding care for newborns. [NOC 3232]
All internationally educated midwives will need to undergo an assessment or bridging program approved by the Transitional Council of the Saskatchewan College of Midwives.
