Midwives

Midwives provide full-course care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-partum period including monitoring the health of mother and baby;  managing labour and spontaneous normal deliveries;  caring for, assessing and monitoring the health of newborns;  and providing advice and information regarding care for newborns.  [NOC 3232]

All internationally educated midwives will need to undergo an assessment or bridging program approved by the Transitional Council of the Saskatchewan College of Midwives.

Here is a process map for midwives that outlines the steps to getting a license in Saskatchewan.
