Getting Licensed

Saskatchewan has many self-regulated health care professions.  A self-regulated profession is one that is governed by an organization of people in the profession.  The provincial government gives the organization legal authority to govern that occupation.  These regulatory bodies are established by law to protect public safety by setting standards of practice and licensing or certifying qualified professionals.

The process of getting a licence to practice in Canada can vary depending on where you were educated.  You may also find some differences in the rules for each of the provinces in Canada.  Check with the regulatory body in Saskatchewan.
