Finding Work

This section has information about how to look for work, how to build Canadian work experience and how to apply for a job.  It also includes job websites.

  • Looking for Work

Looking for work in Saskatchewan may be quite different from what you have done before.  You will need to develop personal contacts and learn about the job market.  There is a list of job websites in this section.

  • Building Canadian Work Experience

Some employers may require that you have Canadian work experience.  Other employers will not require you to have Canadian work experience, but it may give you an advantage over other applicants if you have it.

  • Applying for Work

How you apply for work depends on the occupation and specific job.  Most employers will expect you to fill in an application form or give them a prepared résumé.  If they are interested in your qualifications, they will contact you for a job interview.
