What is my role in the SINP application process?

Your role in the application process is to complete the job approval process and prepare a Letter of Offer for the international worker to use in his/her application process.

The international worker may contact you to ask questions or to seek clarification on their application while it is in process.   You can refer the applicant to the SINP office at any time.

Telephone: Canada (001) 306-798-SINP (7467)

Can I get information about my worker's application to the SINP?

The employer will be notified when the applicant is nominated.

If your employee would like you to be able to check on their application’s status, they must complete the federal form Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (IMM 5475).

How does the SINP work?

The SINP’s application process has two basic steps:  applying to the SINP for nomination and applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for permanent residence.  You can learn about each step in the process by reading our procedural guidelines.
